We are having an exceptional winter season here in Northern Italy this year. An old fashioned winter, like those we were used to have twenty years ago or so, with a lot of snow even at low altitudes and utterly cold temperatures far below 0°C.

Exceptional weather usually means exceptional photographic opportunities too. I therefore decided to publish a brand new gallery, which will be updated very often in the next few months, entirely dedicated to snow, ice and frost.

Enjoy the frozen landscape, and don't forget to get back soon as new images will be added regularly!

One of my favourite seascapes, La Manneporte d'Etretat in Normandy, France, has been chosen by German Hagia Chora magazine to compliment the front cover of their January 2009 issue, currently on sale in Germany. 

I have just performed a major update to the site, adding more than 150 brand new pictures taken along the last eight months in amazing locations. I visited often the Western Alps this last spring and summer, and had the chance of creating many scenic images depicting the various environment of the wilderness up there: roaring alpine streams, waterfalls and glacial lakes,  together with moody, dramatic representation of the most iconic peaks, such as the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc. And a two weeks trip on September to the marvelous island of Corsica, placed right at the centre of the Mediterranean Sea, was rich of opportunities for capturing beautiful seascapes. I have created a new gallery where I have included those pictures that I consider my favourites among my newest works. However, I have also added many pictures to each single gallery in the site, so just take the time to enjoy them all!
